WISPA Applauds Chairman Carr’s Build America Agenda

The following statement may be attributed to WISPA – The Association for Broadband Without Boundaries:

Washington, DC, July 2, 2025 – WISPA applauds FCC Chairman Brendan Carr and his Build America Agenda proposal outlined today in Sioux Falls, SD.  His plan to unleashed more highspeed buildouts, free up more spectrum, develop space for communications growth, cut FCC red tape, ensure resilient and secure networks, and expand America’s blue-collar workforce are common sense ideas that are long overdue.  Taken together, this focus will help create jobs, boost worker productivity, increase innovation and competition, and lower prices – all designed to arrive at, as the Chairman notes, “where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.”

WISPs are going there, too.  Our members’ innovative CBRS, 6 GHz, fiber and hybrid networks – securely built and operated by local, hometown providers – will play an important role in the Build America Agenda.  We look forward to working with the Chairman, the other Commissioners, and all stakeholders, as we build the networks of tomorrow to make our rural, under-resourced and Tribal communities better, safer and more prosperous than ever before.
