WISPA Welcomes the Trump Administration’s National Spectrum Strategy Initiative

The following statement is by Claude Aiken, President and CEO of the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA), in response to the Trump Administration’s National Spectrum Strategy initiative:

Fixed wireless broadband operators and our vendor ecosystem welcome the Trump administration’s initiative to develop a National Spectrum Strategy. At this point in history, spectrum policy is the most powerful tool we have for closing the digital divide for the 24 million Americans who still lack broadband choices, especially in rural and small town America. It is critical infrastructure for the 21st century, and the key to improving services and choices for all Americans. We believe in striking a better balance among spectrum, infrastructure, and subsidy programs, but spectrum is the top priority.
