WISPA files ex parte containing WISP industry C-band letter to Congress, 36 WISP FCC letters on need for C-band
Over the August congressional recess, WISPA’s DC team organized the association’s diverse membership to engage policymakers, helping congressional and FCC officials hear what the advent of C-band sharing would mean to their businesses and meeting the future needs of rural communities. As a result of these efforts, earlier in September WISPA sent a letter signed by over 200 industry companies and individuals, calling for Congress’ support. Amplifying this message, WISPA was also able to collect and file letters from 36 individual WISPs on the need to open up new capacity in the C-band (FCC ex parte attached below, which contains both congressional and FCC outreach).

Our members, and WISPs, in general, provide broadband access to over 4 million residential and business customers, often in exclusively rural areas.
