WISPA Files Reply Comments at FCC on Its C-Band Sharing Study

WISPA made two related reply comment filings at the FCC today regarding its WISPA/Microsoft/Google-sponsored C-band sharing study, which shows that sharing in the C-band can safely occur, and if it is allowed, more than 80 million Americans could benefit from new broadband offerings in the band as a result.

As noted in WISPA’s reply comments, “…[T]he question is no longer if coordinated shared use of C-band spectrum is technically feasible – that question has been answered in the affirmative by the Reed Study and the fact that sharing is already successfully occurring in the 3650-3700 MHz band…Rather, the question is whether the Commission will make the right policy choice by authorizing sharing to incentivize investment and deployment that will provide high-speed, cost effective, and spectrally efficient P2MP to millions of rural Americans.”
